Cross-Country Skiing
The Grand Rapids area offers more than 200K of skiing on 19 groomed trail systems. There's a variety of terrain for the beginner, intermediate and expert, both classic and freestyle.
The groomed trail systems are easily accessible by driving to them. Most are approximately 20 – 30 minutes from Loon Point Resort. Scenic State Park is the closest trail system, only 20 minutes away. Other nearby trails include Wabana, Trout lake, Suomi Hills, Amen Lake, Stoney Ridge and Thistledew.
Consider an afternoon of dogsledding. There are several outfitters in the area. You can either go to them – or they will bring the dogs and sleds to you right here at our resort!
