Pet Policy: We're "no pets" during spring, summer and early September; but we will allow hunting dogs in fall – at the start of grouse season.
Bait/Fishing licenses: We don't sell bait or licenses – but Scenic Pines, just a couple of miles south of us (you'll pass it on your way here) does. If going through Grand Rapids, we also recommend Ben's Bait on West Hwy 2.
Types of Fish: Wasson Lake has Large and Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, Crappies and Bluegills.
What to Bring: The cabins are fully equipped with just about everything you need in the kitchen, including dish soap, dishwasher detergent (for those cabins with dishwashers), coffee filters, Mr. Coffee, toaster, microwave, hot pads, etc. All bedding is provided. All cabins have a Weber grill and patio chairs. A few cabins have a picnic table. All have a screened porch.
You will want to bring the following – bath towels, personal soaps/toiletries, kitchen towels/dishrags, paper towels, plastic kitchen-size garbage bags, charcoal and lighter fluid.
Other items you might find useful – flashlight, alarm clock, insect repellant, fillet knife, ziploc bags, matches, life jackets (we do provide Type II lifejackets with a resort boat), plug adaptor and battery charger if you are bringing your own electric trolling motor (otherwise we provide battery charging for our trolling motors).
Restaurants: The nearest restaurant/bar is Scenic Pines Bar and Grill (great BBQ ribs and prime rib as well as daily specials). Other nearby restaurants include The Antler Lodge, Balsam Cafe, and the many restaurants in Grand Rapids, Marcell and other nearby communities.
Internet and Cell Coverage: We offer free internet (WiFi) access at our lodge (with your own laptop or other devices). Cell phone coverage is still somewhat spotty in our area. Some folks have reception and some don't. If you need to make a phone call and can't get a signal, we offer the use of our land-line phone.
The Lodge: In addition to WiFi, the lodge has a pool table, foosball, board games, lending library and a selection of sweatshirts, T-Shirts, caps and gift items. Schwan's ice cream treats are available in the summer.
Campfires: A campfire ring is located at the main beach. There is a private campfire ring at Hideaway and White Pine. Firewood is provided but we request that fires are kept small, fires must be attended at all times and put out with water when finished.
Hospital/Medical Care: Bigfork Hospital is the closest full service medical facility with an emergency room – about a half hour from the resort. A limited care clinic is 15 minutes south of the resort (affiliated with the Bigfork Hospital). We have excellent 911 service with nearby paramedic responders.
Minimum Stay: In the prime summer season, our cabins rent by the full week. During winter, shoulder seasons, the month of June and mid to late August, partial week rentals are available. When there is a last minute vacancy during prime season, we will often consider a partial week stay.
Deposit: The deposit is ½ of the weekly rental (for week-long reservations) or the equivalent of one night for partial week rentals. The deposit is due within 10 days of making your reservation.
Check or Credit Card: We accept MC/ VISA and Discover. As a small business, however, we are trying to reduce our overhead expenses and prefer checks or cash.
Cancellation Policy: If you cancel prior to 120 days before your reservation arrival date, your deposit, less a $25 administration fee, will be refunded. After that time period, your deposit, less a $25 fee, will be refunded when your reservation time is refilled.
Day Visitors: We reserve the right to limit day visitors and charge for day visitors. Please let us know if you expect visitors.
Extra Persons: Rates include the number of people as stated for each cabin. An extra person charge will be applied for each person exceeding that number. The extra person charge is $20/day or $100/week with children ages 3 and under free.
Check In: Check in is 3:00 pm and check out is 9:00 AM. During the shoulder seasons and winter, we are usually able to be flexible. However, in the prime summer season we must adhere to this check in and check out time as it takes time to properly clean your cabin. Upon arrival to the resort, please come to the main lodge to check in (sign the guest register and receive the key to your cabin).
Please:
Taxes: A 6.875% state sales tax plus a 3% Lodging Fee will be applied to all cabin rentals.
