Wasson Lake is home to largemouth and smallmouth bass, northern pike, crappies and bluegills (only an occasional walleye). If you have your own boat, you'll be in a great location to fish a variety of the 1000 lakes that are in Itasca County. And if you're renting a resort boat, we offer a shuttle service to several nearby lakes.
Itasca County boasts a plentiful supply of public lands. Whether you're interested in grouse hunting or deer hunting, you're sure to find some good hunting grounds near Loon Point Resort. For bird hunters with dogs, we do allow hunting dogs during the fall bird hunting season.
