Scenic State Park – There is a total of 14 miles of hiking trails to explore. The most popular trail is Chase Point which is an esker-like trail and is covered in red pine and white cedar. More than 40 species of animals inhabit Scenic State Park including bald eagles, ospreys, loons, jays, pileated woodpeckers, and a variety of songbirds. Birders consider this one of the best places in the state to see the hard-to-find spruce grouse. Along the lakes, marshes, and streams, you may come across frogs, toads, or even snakes. Golf on the Edge – Golf on the Edge is a 9-hole regulation course that features a log clubhouse with a deck overlooking the scenic area that contains a winding brook and beautiful pond They also offer a 300-yard driving range, chipping green, and putting green.  A full bar, open year-round, serves lunch, dinner, and coffee with a take-out menu. The bar has a full-swing golf simulator, dart boards, and WiFi.

Its construction was bankrolled by mining companies to appease townspeople forced to move their homes from “North Hibbing” to make way for mining operations.

Towering 81 feet over Chisholm, Iron Man is a 36-foot-tall statue of a miner atop a structure representing the “Emergence of Man Through Steel.” Based on an 1880s miner, Iron Man was dedicated in 1987 to the Mesabi, Vermilion, Cuyuna, and Gogebic iron ranges. His looming presence makes for a great photo op! Iron Man is made of brass and copper. His support structure is corten steel.
