There’s nothing like a relaxing winter weekend in a Northern Minnesota cabin. Recently, we’ve had a number of guests whose primary reason for coming was to RELAX! Secondarily – some went ice fishing, another attended a biatholon at nearby Mount Itasca, and another group came for some cross-country skiing. Soon, the snowmobilers will be arriving! Loon Point Resort has direct access to hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails, and the groomed cross country ski options are numerous and not too far away, tho’ you could certainly ski on the lake or driveway right outside your cabin. Wasson Lake offers some good ice fishing – predominantly for northern pike. And there’s many lakes in the area that provide good ice fishing options as well. Regardless of your preferred outdoor activity, you can be assured that at the end of the day, you’ll have a warm, comfortable cabin to come home to. Sit by the cozy fireplace, read a good book, spend time on your favorite craft – be it scrapbooking or knitting, play some cards, even watch a little TV if you like. More than anything – you’ll enjoy the beauty of winter and the quiet solitude of the northwoods. And no doubt you will sleep late! So, join us this winter for some rest and relaxation at Loon Point Resort in Northern Minnesota.
